CALL FOR PAPERS

4th International Symposium on Product, Brand and Label Intelligence

COBLI 2025 - Orléans

June 26-27, 2025

Theme:

Products, brands and labels facing the challenges of ecological, technological and ethical transition.

The COBLI symposium is based on four research pillars. The first area concerns the intelligence of brands, products/services and labels in society in general, but especially in organizations (private or public, for-profit or not-for-profit). ... At the same time, it also focuses on management and adaptation to transformations in different social environments. For example, it focuses on sustainable development. In other words, it studies the ecological, environmental, social, technological, economic and governance transition, in the construction of organizations (e.g., companies, administrations, associations, etc.), from the angles of perceptions, representations and social actions involving players in fields such as business, distribution, tourism, heritage, catering, agriculture, food, transport, etc.; as such, it also opens onto reflections on territorial development. The third area of research concerns innovation. The symposium seeks to advance knowledge on innovation management and product development. Beyond innovations, it focuses on subsequent changes that add value to society and alter the life of society in a way that has lasting consequences. As for its fourth area, the COBLI symposium places a particular focus on modern technologies, especially AI. Technologies are examined in the context of their application to companies and their products, to public and non-governmental organizations. A particular focus is placed on emerging technologies (social media, mobile, cloud, blockchain, robotics, automation of knowledge work, Internet of Things). As a national and international symposium, one of its cornerstones is cross-fertilization between the sciences, and it is open to multi-disciplinary approaches from fields such as sociology, psychology, law, finance, IT and territorial development.

Recent research has examined several important themes such as online innovation networks (Mukherjee and Jain, 2023), digital transformations (Simsek et al., 2024), sustainable development goals (Folqué et al., 2023), the influence of weather anticipations on product consumption (Ho et al., 2024), AI humanity and the use of services (Hsieh and Lee, 2024), nostalgia in advertising and brand love (Grappi et al., 2024) and so on. However, several other themes remain to be investigated.
